Electric scooters in India fall into two buckets, and the rules are refreshingly simple.
Low-speed scooters are limited to 25 km/h. They need no driving licence and no RTO registration — perfect for short city hops, students and seniors. The Warivo Nova S and Edge+ are good examples.
High-speed scooters go faster, offer more range and power, and do require a valid driving licence plus registration. Most BGauss models and some Warivo models fall here.
Whichever you choose, always wear an ISI-marked helmet. We'll help you with the paperwork for registration and insurance when you buy a high-speed model.
