How to care for your EV in the monsoon

12 October 2026

Modern electric scooters are IP-rated and handle rain well, but a few habits keep them running trouble-free through the monsoon.

Avoid riding through deep waterlogging — the motor and battery are sealed, but water above the floorboard is best avoided. Slow down and pick higher ground.

Before charging after a wet ride, dry the charging port and let the battery cool. Keep your charging point away from damp floors.

Before a cyclone warning, move your scooter — and the removable battery, if your model has one — to higher, covered ground. After the storm, check brakes and tyres before riding.
